Finding a Gluten Free Restaurant couldn’t be easier

What is Celiac Disease

Celiac disease is a medical condition where the surface of the small intestine is damaged by the gluten found in grains such as wheat, rye, and barley. This damage makes the intestine incapable of absorbing the nutrients required to give your body the nourishment it needs to stay healthy. The only known cure for celiac disease it to abstain from eating foods that contain gluten, for the rest of your life.

Gluten and wheat are contained in many foods. Obviously bread and pasta contain gluten but in other foods the gluten is much less obvious. For example, most soy sauce contains wheat, so consuming food with soy sauce that contains wheat, will make Celiacs ill.

The Celiac Restaurant Guide was developed to find restaurants that serve gluten free food, throughout North America. The web site is easy to use and makes finding the restaurants easy. Just go to http://celiacrestaurantguide.com/
