Chip in for Celiac Golf Tournament
The CFCR report for today is about another exciting fundraising and awareness event that is coming up soon. Glingsters who live in and around Monroe Connecticut will be happy to know that this event takes place in their own area. It is The Second Annual Connecticut Chip in for Celiac Golf Tournament!
Such a fun title :) The event promises to be just as fun. It will include dinner, raffles, a silent auction and even an open bar. Participation may cost a pretty penny, but it is so worth it since proceeds go to such a great cause, and you get to spend the day having fun and making new friends. Most of the money received will go to benefit CFCR, but a donation will also be made to the Greater New Haven Celiac Group.
The Chip in for Celiac Golf Tournament is led by Chris Wheeler, from the New Haven area. Wheeler has made it a personal goal to raise funds and awareness for Celiac Disease and is the Tournament Director.
I suppose now is where the details become important :) The tournament will be held on Friday, May 21st at the Whitney Farms Golf Course in Monroe, CT. The cost is $700 for a foursome, $175 for individuals, and $75 if you are only attending the dinner.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, here is an update on the Making Tracks for Celiacs Walk/Run. In the Baltimore event, there were over 800 participants and more than $70,000 was raised! The money will go to support CFCR in it’s continued efforts to improve the lives of Celiac patients.
