Product Review: Kinnikinnick Graham Style Cracker Crumbs

Posted by: Marissa on Sept. 2, 2010

I have to admit, I am very amused by the fact that I get to review crumbs for you today. Usually crumbs are what are left over when I finish my reviews :) Kinnikinnick Graham Style Cracker Crumbs are in a whole different category, though, and very review-worthy.

To me, there is nothing like the flavor and texture of a graham cracker crust when it comes to pie. I love the ease of putting the crust together and really prefer the crumb crust to any other kind. Kinnikinnick Graham Style Cracker Crumbs offer all of the flavor and convenience, without the graham.

The crumbs are very fine and evenly textured. They look and smell like gluten filled graham cracker crumbs- maybe even a little better. When you smell the bag (like I just did) you get a heavy aroma of butter and vanilla. It’s the smell that a kitchen should continuously have from October to January.

They taste great too. The first time I tried them it was in a dessert my mom made. I had to ask her a couple times and make sure that I was eating a gluten free dessert. Several of the people in my family who can eat gluten tried both desserts side by side and said they could definitely tell the difference, though.

The package of Kinnikinnick Graham Style Cracker Crumbs weighs in at 11 oz, which is enough for several uses. It is made of re-sealable plastic and keeps the crumbs fresh for a long time.

I love the versatility here. You can use these crumbs for crust, toppings, anything! They add texture to sweet dishes of every kind and are incredibly easy to use.

Kinnikinnick Graham Style Cracker Crumbs are a great pantry staple for gluten free cooks of all kinds. They are simple enough for the lazy bakers like me, yet also well suited to the more gourmet types.
