Product Review: Maxwell’s Kitchen Turkey Gravy Mix

Posted by: Marissa on Dec. 24, 2010

Is there anything better in the world than mashed potatoes and gravy? I’m sure that right now you’re thinking, “Yes, a lot of things.” But you have to admit they are pretty great :) I love the stuff. They’re warm, comforting and every time I eat them I feel like I’m having a mini holiday feast.

Maxwell’s Kitchen Turkey Gravy Mix has proved to be a pretty decent addition to this feasting. It is quick, simple to make and easy to keep on hand. It cooks up nice and thick without being gloopy.

Preparation is super easy. I was a bit surprised to see that the package called for 10 oz. of water instead of the usual cup. (Hey, those two extra ounces can go a long way, right?) To make the gravy, just mix the package with water, heat and stir. The whole process takes about ten minutes.

The flavor is good, though I wouldn’t have known it was turkey if I hadn’t read the package. It was more like the “brown gravy” that I so enjoyed in my gluten eating days. The flavor is very strong, rich and deep.

I recommend Maxwell’s Kitchen Turkey Gravy Mix for those that like a strong, thick gravy for their taters. I will be buying it again myself.
