Product Review: Katz Gluten Free Large Challah Rolls

Posted by: Marissa on Jan. 25, 2011

Anyone who is a frequent reader knows that I demand a lot from my food. It has to be convenient, delicious, perfectly textured, low priced and as healthy as possible. My family calls me picky. I think of it more as having high standards. Whatever you call it, I am pleased to report that the product I am reviewing today satisfies most of my requirements.

Katz Gluten Free Large Challah Rolls are convenient because I can store them in the freezer and pull them out when I need them. I heat them up in the oven (or toaster oven) and they come out warm and soft on the inside with a nice, firm crust on the outside. I love the convenience of not having to rush to eat them since they are frozen, I don’t like the fact that there are only three in a package.

These rolls are also delicious and perfectly textured, a very rare combination. They work well for sandwiches and are perfect for dipping in soups. I adore the flavor and have yet to find anything they don’t mesh with.

Here is where we hit the point that I have to say MOST of my requirements. As I mentioned, there are only three rolls per package. The price is a bit high to feed a family on, but do-able for special occasions.

On the nutrition side, Katz Gluten Free Large Challah Rolls are not too bad. The ingredients are all things I recognize as being food. They are a little high in fat, but completely worth it.

All in all, I find it very easy to offer my full recommendation for this product.
