Product Review: Katz Gluten Free Pizza Crust

Posted by: Marissa on Jan. 18, 2011

My daughter is absolutely obsessed with pizza. It is to the point where when I ask her what she wants for dinner I automatically add, “Besides pizza.” Truth be told, I’m fond of pizza as well, but so much more picky about it. She can put sauce and cheese on a corn tortilla and be happy…. Enough said.

Well, Katz Gluten Free Pizza Crust is nothing like a corn tortilla. Granted, it’s about the same size, and it is thin… But other than that - Okay, so it TASTES nothing like a corn tortilla.

I was actually very happy with this crust. It is thin enough to have the chewy/crispy texture that a thin crust gluten free pizza should have. It is also soft on the inside. The combination of textures is perfect.

The flavor is wonderful as well. There are no odd tastes or overly bland elements to report. The pizza I made with this crust was so good that I was forced to eat way too much :)

The package that the crust came in suggested that the crust would also be good as flat bread. I didn’t try this option myself, but I do think that the flavor will lend itself perfectly to a bit of olive oil and some Parmesan cheese. I look forward to trying it next time.

All in all, I recommend that if you see Katz Gluten Free Pizza Crust you should pick some up. They store in the freezer and last until you are ready to eat them. This, combined with great flavor and texture, make them perfect to keep on hand.
