Product Review: Lucy’s Oatmeal Cookies
I had oatmeal cookies today! (Yes, I really do get this excited about food.) It’s been years since I’ve had an oatmeal cookie. Apparently it was one of the things that I didn’t know I was missing.
Since going gluten free I have been very nervous about branching out into oats. Call it paranoia if you will, I call it a defense mechanism based on the fact that I hate being sick. I have taken the plunge, though, and am happy to report that I am still standing :)
And what a way to take that plunge! Lucy’s Oatmeal Cookies are pure yum wrapped in an allergy friendly package. They are dairy free, egg free, peanut free and tree nut free as well as being stringently tested for gluten and the other allergens listed. I love a company that is that thorough.
These gluten free oatmeal cookies are simply delightful. The texture is perfectly light and crisp. The flavor is rich, deep and inviting. It took an effort not to finish the box in one sitting. They tasted exactly like I remember oatmeal cookies should taste.
Anyone who can eat oats should try these cookies. They are a little pricey for such a small package, but worth the splurge.
