Product Review: Schar Multigrain Bread
I am terribly fond of Schar. As a company they are continuously innovative and have good quality. It seems that I am not the only one in my area that feels this way. Every store around here that carries gluten free goods can boast a growing selection of Schar products. If you haven’t found them near you yet, I definitely recommend you look them up online.
On that note, I have another Schar product up for review today. This time it is the Multigrain Bread. Once again I am impressed by the quality and flavor from this company.
Schar Multigrain Bread has the same dense texture as the [Schar Classic White Bread] (http://gling.com/blog/post/Marissa/2011/01/schar_bread/) does. It has visible bits of grain and seeds, but they don’t affect the texture at all. It may be a bit dense for cold sammiches, but it made perfect birdhouse toast. (That’s when you cut a hole in the bread and cook an egg in the hole - Yum!)
I love the flavor! It has a bit of a twang that reminds me of rye bread (or what I remember of rye bread… I never did eat much of that) but it isn’t too strong. It has a blended/layered flavor that excites the tongue.
Overall, this product made my mouth happy. I am glad to offer my recommendation.
