Product Review: Edward & Sons Let’s Do… Gluten Free Ice Cream Cones
To date, it has been over three years since I had an ice cream cone. To be honest, I was never very fond of “cake-style” cones. They always turned into a drippy, soggy mess that I have never found very appetizing. At most I used to like a waffle cone, but I am a dish and spoon kind of girl at heart.
I bought these gluten free ice cream cones for my daughter (who doesn’t mind a mess). I fully expected to try one and write a review comparing these cones to the gluten filled kind and leave it at that.
Once again, my reviews have led me down a path of enlightenment. This cone was amazing! It had virtually no flavor of it’s own which made it the perfect receptacle for my frozen yogurt. There was no icky aftertaste and very little sweetness to overpower other flavors.
The absolute best part was the texture. This cone stayed crispy to the very last bite. Yes, I said crispy! There was no leaky, drippy, sticky mess at all. The cone did not even feel cold in my hand. It was like eating ice cream out of an edible thermal mug. Granted, I ate my ice cream cone on an eighty degree day. I have yet to test this phenomena in the dreadful heat of summer. With results like this, though, I can’t wait to try!
I fully recommend Edward & Sons Let’s Do… Gluten Free Ice Cream Cones. They are the absolute best “cake-style” ice cream cones I have ever had, gluten free or otherwise. They may have even reformed my dish-and-spoon ways.
