Product Review: Think Thin White Chocolate Chip
This Thursday we will be visiting the opposite side of the spectrum from the Chocolate Fudge Think Thin Bar that I reviewed last week with the White Chocolate Chip flavor. This bar was fun to eat!
The bar itself is made of delightfully chewy protein-filled ingredients. It has a great texture to it that is fun to chew. There are little bits spread throughout the bar that look like chocolate chips but crunch like rice puffs. According to the ingredients panel they are cocoa soy crisps. The white chocolate outer coating is silky, melty and sweet.
Eating the bar reminded me of eating chocolate chip cookie dough, minus four pounds of sugar :) The texture and the flavors worked very well together.
Unfortunately, this bar offers the same unhappy aftertaste as the last one I tried. It is strong enough that it almost stings the tongue. The taste and feel of my mouth after eating it leaves some serious questions about what it is doing to my breath!
Aftertaste aside, I would buy this bar again. I’m afraid that the summer heat would melt the outer coating too quickly to be able to take the bar in a purse or backpack, but I will make room for a couple in a cooler during longer getaways.
