Product Review: Blue Diamond Baked Nut Chips (Sea Salt Flavor)

Posted by: Marissa on Aug. 2, 2011

I am constantly excited by the new flavors of chips that keep showing up in the grocery store. It seems like the choices used to be corn or potato. Food manufacturers are getting more and more creative, and my taste buds are happy.

Blue Diamond Baked Nut Chips contain 22g of whole grains and boast 75% less saturated fat than potato chips. So far so good! Read on to see how they stack up in the other categories.

Ease of Use

Just open the bag and munch away!

The chips are triangular with rounded corners. They have just enough color and texture to promise the eyes a nice crunch.

Taste and Texture

I loved the flavor! The light brown rice taste was complimented by a hint of crunchy almond. The chips were lightly salted which was just enough to bring out the fullness of flavors. They made me realize (once again) how much I really like sea salt.

The texture was amazing! So light! So crunchy! It was infinitely satisfying and addictive.

Chips, by their very nature, are fairly versatile. You can dip them, crunch them on casseroles, bread chicken, toss them like a frisbee…. Whatever you like.

Overall Value

You can buy a bag of Blue Diamond Baked Nut Chips for about $2.00. Each bag weighs in at 4.25 oz. and holds four servings of fifteen chips each.

I will be buying these again! The combination of taste and texture are irresistible.
