Product Review: Berries and Cherries Crunch

American Bounty Foods has won my heart with this snack! I expected chunks of fruity sweet trail mix (like a bar cut up) and was really excited to find out it was so much more. Before I get into the particulars, let me give you the nutritional run-down. Berries and Cherries Crunch is 100% natural, certified gluten free, GMO free, and vegan.

Ease of Use

Berries and Cherries Crunch comes in a bright pink re-sealable bag. Just pop it open and munch! (Good luck stopping).

Appearance

Inside the bag you will find little cubes of nut pieces. You can see chunks of pecans, almonds, cashews and pistachios. Some of the pieces have bits of fruit showing. The cubes are obviously made by cutting a large tray of the nut and fruit mixture. There is also a shiny, golden brown coating that holds the nuts together.

Taste and Texture

The cubes have a solid and crunchy texture to them. They are a little bit sticky to the teeth, but not at all in the hand. The bits of fruit add a subtle amount of chewy texture to the crunch.

The flavor is unbelievable! The coating that holds everything together is soft and buttery. It almost reminds me of a caramel or butter rum. It blends with the natural sweetness of the nuts and has the effect of a creamy toffee-type candy. The fruit adds a subtle sweetness with no hint of tanginess.

Though the flavor is amazing, the best part for me is that my mouth still feels clean after I eat it. There is no leftover sugar residue. I feel like I just had a handful of nuts.

Versatility

This is a healthy, delicious snack that will travel well. What more do I need :)

You can get a 4.25oz bag for $3.99. The bag holds about 24 pieces (4 servings). The bag is small, but this stuff is so good that I will buy more.
