Product Review: Parmesan Garlic Baked Lentil Chips by Mediterranean Snacks
I am having a lot of fun with all the creative chips that are emerging on the market. New flavors and textures abound everywhere! These lentil chips are high in fiber and low in fat, making them a good choice for getting that Summer body we all hope for.
Ease of Use
Open bag, eat.
Appearance
Each chip is in the shape of a rectangle. The edges are raised, creating a bowl-type depression in the center. They are covered in white powder with little green flecks spread throughout.
Taste and Texture
I really like the flavor. The crackers are mild and earthy. The cheese flavor is strong and has a great punch. The texture was uneven and some-what fun. For the most part, they were puffy and had a good crunch. There were some spots that were a little too crispy, even hard. My teeth didn’t like the inconsistent mouthfeel. It kept sneaking up on them with too much of an extra bite.
Versatility
The bag has a recipe for hummus on it, which is great since these chips have the perfect shape for topping. There is a lot of potential for different uses here.
Overall Value
The bag weighs in at 4.5oz. and contains about 4.5 servings. The serving size isn’t bad, but with a price tag of $4.49, I’m going to declare these to be a little steep for my budget.
Rating
I like the concept, and the chips themselves. I can’t say they are a must-have favorite, but I wouldn’t turn them down at a party.
