Product Review: Schar Honeygrams

Posted by: Marissa on June 8, 2012

I had S’Mores tonight! Melty, creamy, gooey S’Mores :) They were pretty amazing, and I did it all for you, dear readers so I could put Schar Honeygrams to the ultimate test. Okay, so I did it because they sounded really good and we were celebrating, but the part about S’Mores being the ultimate test of a graham-style cracker was true. During the summer, I can’t think of a better use for any kind of cracker.

Ease of Use

Yet again I have to say how much I love the way Schar packages it’s food. These crackers come individually wrapped per serving size (six crackers). We only used one little package tonight so the others will stay nice and freshly wrapped. This makes them perfect to pack in lunches or take along anywhere, without worrying about taking baggies along.

Appearance

The crackers are about two inches square, golden brown in color and look just like the picture on the box.

Taste and Texture

These taste just like a high quality graham cracker, but they have an even better texture. It’s been so long since I’ve had a real graham cracker that, to be sure, I made my sister eat one of them. She was very impressed, said it tasted better than the name brand graham crackers she was eating. Good job, Schar!

As for the texture, it was delightful! They were light and crispy, airy almost, yet solid enough to hold together through gobs of chocolate and marshmallow.

Versatility

These would make great snacks all by themselves, and I think I already mentioned that they are perfect for S’Mores, but I could also see them as a crust for a cheesecake. Really, I think they would hold up to any use you can think of for a gluten free graham cracker.

Overall Value

The price is listed as $4.79 for a box of eighteen crackers. They are worth every penny.

Rating

I love them!
