Bacon wrapped little smokies safe

These are way better then I thought they were going to be. I wasn't sure that they were going to have enough flavor. Well they are full of yummy flavor. The bacon is wonderful and adds so much flavor.

Prep time 10 min
Cooking time 25 to 40 min


14 oz package of little smokies

1 pound package of bacon

2/3 cup brown sugar

1/4 agave nectar

1/4 tsp pepper


Heat oven to 400 degrees

Cut bacon in half and place on a broiler pan. Cook in the oven just until the fat is rendered and they are pliable but not all the way cooked. About 5 minutes or so.

Let them rest on paper towels for five minutes.

lay the bacon in the brown sugar to coat. Then roll the bacon around the sausage. Use a toothpick to hold together.

Lay on the broiler pan and bake for about 10 minutes or until the bacon is cooked.
