Biscuits safe

Light and fluffy biscuits.

These biscuits are versatile enough to serve with gravy or with strawberries and cream.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups brown rice flour
2 cups corn starch
1/2 cup soy or sorghum flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp xanthan gum
1/2 cup butter (grated)
1 cup buttermilk
1 1/4 cups water
1 egg, beaten

Instructions

1 – Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2 – Combine flours, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and xanthan gum.

3 – Grate butter into the flour mixture using the small hole of the grate box. Mix into the flours so there are no large balls of butter.

4 – Add milk, water, and eggs to the flour mixture and stir until the dry and liquid ingredients are combined.

5 – Drop onto a greased pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
