Caramel Corn
The best sweet and salty snack to ever come from my kitchen!

This is, by far, the best movie or family game night snack ever. Craving salty and sweet, this is the perfect snack. It takes only a few minutes to put together, no baking required. Just plain YUMMY!
| Prep time | 5 minutes |
| Cooking time | 5-10 minutes |
| Servings | 8-10 |
Ingredients
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup syrup (either corn or maple)
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda (gluten free)
Large bowl of popped popcorn
Instructions
Place all ingredients EXCEPT for the baking soda into a sauce pan over medium heat. Stir constantly until boiling. Boil 5 minutes, continue stirring. Remove from heat after 5 minutes. Add the baking soda and stir quickly. Pour over your popped corn and quickly stir the caramel in. The caramel will start to harden up quickly, so make sure you work as fast as you can to incorporate all of the caramel into the pop corn. Coating all of the pieces. When I pop my corn, I’ll pop enough to fill a very large stainless steel bowl. It’s generally about a full air popper of popcorn.

I concur. This is one of those foods I've always wanted a recipe for, but never worked hard enough to go and actually get one. :)

It's a good one for sure...not as "crunchy" every time as the baked variety, but so very tasty!!!
