Chocolate Covered Cherries

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, melted
7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 pounds powdered sugar
54 maraschino cherries, patted dry (about two 10 ounce jars)
1 pound milk chocolate candy coating, chopped
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine butter and milk. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until a smooth dough is formed. Shape one portion into 1-inch balls; flattened in 2-inch circles. Wrap each circle around a cherry and gently shape into a ball. Place on waxed paper. Melt chocolate candy coating; stir until smooth. Dip balls in chocolate, allowing excess to drip off; place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Chill until firm. Store in airtight container.
