Melt-in-your-mouth sugar cookie recipe.
These are delicious whether dressed simply with a sprinkling of colored sugar or frosted with icing.

1 – Sift flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
2 – Cut in margarine.
3 – Beat eggs; add sugar and almond; mix well.
4 – Pour egg mixture into flour mixture and mix well by hand.
5 – Chill at least 15 minutes (several days is also ok).
6 – Roll out to desired thickness on floured surface and cut into shapes.
7 – Bake at 350 degrees for 9 minutes.
Optional – Decorate with colored sugar before baking, or if you prefer, after baked and cooled frost and then sprinkle with colored sugar, etc.
