Christmas Truffles safe

Melt in your mouth good!

These truffles are so easy to make and turn out so beautifully! Make a perfect addition to your Christmas cookie platters and make great gifts as well.

Ingredients

3 cups chocolate chips
1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 Tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon of peppermint extract (or whatever flavor you desire)
powdered sugar, crushed candy canes, cocoa powder or chopped nuts to roll truffles in when shaped

Instructions

Place chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a medium sauce pan. Melt chocolate over medium heat, stirring often to prevent scorching. When totally melted and blended together, remove from heat. Stir in extract and chill for 2 to 3 hours. Once chilled, roll into 1-inch balls and then roll in desired toppings. Store in the refrigerator in an air tight container.
