Perfect for your Super Bowl party or any other party where people want really good finger food! A hit here in my house. These are hot enough to satisfy the spicy lovers and sweet enough to keep everyone else happy too! Perfect balance. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Prep time
Cooking time
Servings 10-12

Ingredients

1 cup hot sauce
½ cup honey
6 Tablespoons butter
pinch of salt
fresh ground pepper to taste
6 8 pounds chicken wings, tips removed
Oil for frying

Instructions

Combine the hot sauce, honey and butter in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat until the butter is melted and the ingredients come together, about 5 minutes. Stir in salt and pepper. Pour half of the sauce into a large bowl and keep the remaining sauce in the pan over low heat.

Rinse wings and pat dry with paper towels. Heat enough oil in the bottom of a deep stock pot to fry chicken in, allowing expanding room when you add your chicken. Work in small batches, frying your chicken wings until they are golden brown and cooked through. This only takes a few minutes per batch. Once they are crispy and golden brown, place in the bowl you placed half the sauce into. Toss the chicken in the sauce to coat. Place hot wings onto your serving plate and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, celery and extra sauce on the side.
