Pumpkin Fudge safe

A tasty way to celebrate one of the best fall flavors!

This is a fun way to enjoy the taste of pumpkin! Yummy!

Prep time 10 minutes
Cooking time 30 minutes
Servings 5 dozen


2 cups sugar
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter
2/3 cup half and half
3/4 cup canned pumpkin
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 (11 12 ounce) package white chocolate or butterscotch chips
1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow creme
2 teaspoons vanilla extract


In a heavy saucepan, combine sugars, butter, half and half, pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves, stirring frequently.

Continue heating until mixture begins to boil, stirring constantly. Continue boiling until candy thermometer reaches soft-ball stage (234-243 degrees).

Remove from heat and stir in white or butterscotch chips until melted. Add remaining ingredients; stir to mix well.

Pour into a buttered 13×9-inch baking pan. Cool to room temperature. Cut into squares and store in an air-tight container.
